Original Operating Instructions

9.7
Rain sensor (optional)
9.7.1
Characteristics
A rain sensor (type: RST60) can be connected. The
voltage supply for the rain sensor must be provided
on-site.
The rain sensor has a potential-free contact. This
contact is closed when it is raining.
The rain sensor can only be evaluated in operating
mode
Automatic
. The ventilation is closed to the
“Opening limit min” without cyclic operation when
rain is reported on the ventilation controller and the
ventilation is opened further than the “Opening limit
min”. When it is raining, the temperature regulation
only runs in the position range from completely
closed to the “Opening limit min”.
The rain sensor has no function in operating modes
Close
and
Open
.
9.7.2
Automatic detection
▶
Remove the resistor (delivery state) on the input
for the rain sensor before connecting the rain
sensor.
The ventilation controller detects whether the
resistor or the rain sensor is connected after the
mains voltage is switched on.
9.8
External close command
(optional)
Characteristics
A make contact can be connected to the potential-
free contact “Ext. signal” of the ventilation controller.
The ventilation is closed completely without cyclic
operation when this contact is closed.
The external close command is executed in operat-
ing modes
Automatic
,
Close
and
Open
. It has
higher priority than:
–
The temperature regulation and
–
manual commands.
9.9
Emergency stop switch
Characteristics
An opener (emergency stop switch) must be con-
nected to the potential-free contact “EMERGENCY
STOP” of the ventilation controller.
The contact is opened when the emergency stop
switch is activated. No movement is made as long
as this contact is open irrespective of the operating
mode set.
The emergency stop switch has the highest priority
within the ventilation system.
The emergency stop lock can be released by:
–
Switching the rotary switch to operating mode
selection
–
Pressing the dead man switch
–
Rotating or pressing the rotary knob
–
An active switch edge on the external close com-
mand input.
The current maximum ventilation opening
specified by the wind sensor in % is shown in
the Status display alternating with the wind
speed in m/s.
The ventilation controller permanently
detects the state “No rain” (permanent dis-
play of the closed umbrella in the Status dis-
play) when the resistor is removed but a rain
sensor is not connected.
The contact evaluation is redundant as from
the connection terminal and corresponds to
Class 3 according to EN954-1. The safety
function is maintained for a simple fault.
The ventilation does not start automatically
when the emergency stop switch is deacti-
vated!
