6.2 Adjusting the Shock Absorbers
There are two shock absorbers on the Blaze Air Unloader.
Forward Engage Cylinder Shock Absorber:
This shock absorber is located under the rotary
actuator and above the Forward Engage Cylinder. The function of this shock absorber is to
provide extra cushioning for the Forward Engage Cylinder in the retracted position. The stiffness
is adjustable but is pre-set and should not need to be changed.
Part Stop Shock Absorber:
This shock absorber is located in the Vacuum Tube End Cap and
absorbs the impact of the part being vacuumed back into the Blaze Air. The shock absorber that is
used in the Blaze-Air is adjustable. Remove the shock absorber from the Vacuum Tube End Cap.
At the back end of the shock absorber, loosen the set-screw and turn the knob to the desired
stiffness. Re-tighten the setscrew and re-install the shock absorber into the Vacuum Tube End
Cap.
