Elbow disassembly, O-ring replacement, and reassembly
1.
Identify the elbow radial O-ring, and remove it from its groove with an O-ring pick, Figure 1.
2.
Carefully loop the elbow radial O-ring (size 2-230) around the elbow, seating the O-ring in the groove.
3.
Using 1/2" hex key, loosen and extract the four 5/8” x 1” socket head cap screws, Figure 2.
4.
Identify the elbow face O-ring, lift it from its groove, and discard.
5.
Position and press the new O-ring (size 2-154) into the groove, Figure 3.
6.
Position the elbow to the pump chamber as depicted in Figure 2.
7.
Using a 1/2“ hex bit socket, install and tighten the four 5/8” x 1” socket head cap screws to a torque value of
975 in-lbs (82 ft-lb, 110 Nm) using standard criss-cross pattern.
• Lubricate O-rings with Dow Corning Molykote
®

• Apply Loctite

thread locker to clean screw threads before installation.
