Bradycardia –
Heart rate slower than normal heart rate. The
Arrhythmia Detection algorithm detects Bradycardia when the HR
is below a programmable value Heart Rate Threshold for a
specified interval (Bradycardia Interval Threshold).

Pause –
There is no ventricular activity for certain period of time
(seconds). The arrhythmia detection algorithm detects a Pause
event with an absence of a QRS complex for more than a
programmable time value for a specified Interval (Pause Interval
Threshold).

Atrial Fibrillation (AFIB) –
Irregular heart rhythms in which the
atria is out of sync with the ventricles. AFIB is characterized by RR
intervals (duration between successive beats) of variable length
and an absence of a P-wave. Frequently, the atrial muscles contract
quickly and irregularly causing non-periodic f-waves.
An atrial fibrillation episode will automatically be detected if it lasts
for more than 30 seconds. Shorter episodes (as any other episode)
can be analyzed upon request, as all data is recorded on the cellular
phone.
NOTE:
there have been triggering problems with recurring AF
events during high impedance. This has been corrected by
properly terminating the already opened AF event to allow normal
triggering for AF events.
