ACT Sensor
The sensor records and transmits the data to the cellular phone.
The ACT sensor can hold approximately six (6) hours. If a patient
is away from the cellular phone, data is still being stored on the ACT
sensor. Once the patient is within an unobstructed 30 feet of the
cellular phone (closer the better), the data will start to be transmitted
to the cellular phone, and sent to the monitoring center if an
appropriate arrhythmia threshold is met.
The batteries sent with the sensor are specially selected batteries.
Patients should not use over the counter batteries and are
instructed to return all used and unused batteries to LifeWatch in
the return mailer with the ACT monitoring system when the
monitoring session is completed.
Notes
The impedance test (occurring every two
minutes) takes precedence over ECG
recording. Consequently, there will not be
ECG recording at the same time. The ECG
will lack 0.5 seconds of ECG recording every
two (2) minutes.
After exiting the ACT (cellular phone)
application, it will take up to three (3)
minutes for all the processes to end. This
means you must wait three minutes before
starting the ACT (cellular phone) application
again.
If the cellular phone Bluetooth
communication is not active for 60 minutes,
the ACT (cellular phone) application will
automatically restart the Bluetooth
communication.
