ARUN096BSS5 Outdoor Units
Proper clearance for the outdoor unit coil is critical for proper unit operation. When installing the outdoor unit, consider service, inlet and
outlet and minimum allowable space requirements. The figures below and on the next page illustrate clearance requirements for various
installation scenarios. Use the hot isle / cold isle approach when placing multiple units in close proximity to each other. Outdoor unit fans
draw air from the back of the unit and discharges out the front. Place units back to back and face to face.
•
Do not place the unit where animals and/or plants will be in the path of the warm air, or where the warm air and / or noise will disturb
neighbors.
• Installation clearances must comply with local building codes.
• All figures not to scale.
•
Never place multiple units facing back to front or front to back as shown immediately below, left or high and low system pressure problems
will occur.
