Air System (DOAS) Installation and Operation Manual
MAINTENANCE
See the back of this manual for the maintenance log.
At lease once per year, a qualified service technician should check the unit. Supply fans, evaporator coils and air filters should be inspected
once per month.
Supply Fan Lubrication
All original blower motors and bearings are furnished with factory lubrication. Some applications will require bearings be re-lubricated
periodically. The schedule will depend on the operating duty, temperature variations or other sever atmospheric conditions.
Bearings should be re-lubricated at normal operating temperatures, but not when the unit is running. Rotate the fan shaft by hand and add
only enough grease to purge the seals. DO NOT OVER LUBRICATE.
Recommended greases are as follows; Shell Oil - Dolium R, Chevron Oil - SRI No. 2 and Texaco Inc. - Premium RB.
Filter Replacement
Monthly filter inspection is required to maintain optimum unit efficiency.
Prior to rotating parts, shut off all electrical power to the unit to avoid electrical shock which could result in product damage, personal
injury or death.
Filters are located upstream from the evaporator coil. Follow the instructions below to access the filter:
1. Open the access panel.
2. Pull filters straight out and inspect them.
3. Replace filters with the appropriate size (indicating on the filter).
The arrow on the replacement filters must point towards the blower.
It is strongly recommended that filter media be replaced monthly.
