Algorithms and Parameters
About the Algorithms
Eight different reverberation and effects
algorithms are used to create the sounds
shipped with Reflex.
Although the front panel DECAY, DE-
LAY, and FX LVL parameters allow you to
create thousands of variations on these
sounds, Advanced Programming Mode lets
you take front panel effects editing to a whole
new level by giving you access to all of the
parameters in each algorithm.
Each Reflex algorithm has as many as 10
parameters which can be accessed in this
mode*. This lets you go beyond creating
variations of an effect to completely chang-
ing its character.
In Advanced Programming Mode, each
of the eight Reflex algorithms is assigned an
ID# (A1-A8).

In APM, REGISTER/PRESET knob posi-
tions 1-10 will select the available param-
eters of the currently running effect. With any
parameter selected, the VALUE knob will
adjust it along its entire range.
A diagram of each algorithm is shown on
the following pages, along with a chart of the
available parameters and their ranges.
To view the algorithm ID # of any running
effect, simply enter APM (simultaneously
press the REGISTER/PRESET and PARAM-
ETER/LEARN buttons) and turn the REGIS-
TER/PRESET knob to 16.

In APM, positions 1-10 of the REGISTER/
PRESET knob select the parameters of the
currently running effect. Turn the REGISTER/
PRESET knob to position 16 to identify the
algorithm available for editing.
*Advanced Programming Mode makes it possible
to perform full editing from the front panel. These
parameters can also be accessed by Lexicon's
MRC, or by any editing software which recognizes
the Lexicon LXP-1.
