Termination
All CAN based networks must be terminated at both ends. The Z-MAX Master/Slave
network is no exception.
Each panel has a termination jumper. When a relay panel is the last panel on the run,
it’s termination jumper must be installed.

RJ-45 connectors must be "crimped" onto the
end of your Category-5e cable in order to
successfully make your connections. This requires
a special tool made specifically for this purpose
called an "RJ-45 Crimper" or other similar
terminology. Always use one of these crimpers
when making these connections. Read and
understand the instruction by the crimpers
manufacturer prior to use. Leviton offers a
crimper as Leviton part number 47613-EZC.
