Install the rubber
grommet on the
spherical head
anchor shaft as
illustrated.
Recommendation:
grease the rubber
grommet to ease
installation.
Steel recess formers are very durable
and are used in large scale production
or if a recess former cannot be
opened for removal. The load group
is clearly marked on the top of each
recess former.
The trumpet shaped type 6152
is used when the lifting anchor is
subjected to load perpendicular
to its longitudinal axis during the
concrete-pour (eg. horizontally
installation).
Precautions are always required,
when using this type of recess former
in horizontal anchor installation to
prevent dislodging the anchor when
vibrating the concrete (e.g. fi x to the
reinforcement or secure with spacers).
When the precast element is removed
from the formwork, the cast-in spherical
head lifting anchor with the rubber
grommet still attached will separate
easily from the recess former.
Unscrew the fi xing bolt to remove the
steel recess former from the formwork.
The rubber grommet is removed from
the cast-in HALFEN DEHA lifting
anchor. The grommet is reusable.
