Removing the Power Supply Module

CAUTION:
The power control button on the device and the power switch on the power
supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device
also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from
the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.
To remove a hot-swap power supply module, complete the following steps:
1.
Remove the power cord from the module’s power connector.
2.
Press the release latch of the power supply module, and slide the module out of the
bay.
Attention:
Do not leave the power-supply bay empty for more than 90 seconds
while the switch is operating. Either replace the power supply module or install a
blank power filler plate.

to help you gather all the required
information that is necessary to return a component. After you remove the
component, securely pack the component for shipping.
