Installing Port Connectors

The NE10032 supports copper and optical transceivers, Direct Attached Copper
(DAC) cables and Active Optical Cables (AOC).

QSFP28 Port Slots

Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 28 (QSFP28) port slots support the following
approved connector types:



40 GbE QSFP+ or 100 GbE QSFP28 optical transceivers



40 GbE QSFP+ or 100 GbE QSFP28 DAC cables



40 GbE QSFP+ or 100 GbE QSFP28 Active Optical Cables



10 GbE SFP+ copper or optical transceivers, DAC cables, or Active Optical
Cables in breakout adapters

25 GbE SFP28 optical transceivers, DAC cables, or Active Optical Cables in
breakout adapters

QSFP28 and QSFP+ optical transceivers provide an MTP cable connector for
connecting to external ports.

SFP28 or SFP+ optical transceivers provide two fiber-optic cable connectors for
connecting to external ports.
