2RP Board
Wiring Digital Inputs
Each reader port has two (2) unsupervised digital inputs (DIs) which are used for door status devices
(door contacts and exit request input). Since these DIs are not supervised, they do not require end-of-
line resistors.
To wire a DI:
1.
Install the door contact and exit contact as required.
2.
Wire the door DI between pin 2 (Gnd) and pin 8 (Door DI) and/or exit DI between pin 2 (Gnd)
and pin 5 (Exit DI) to the corresponding reader port on the 2RP board. The contact can be
Normally Open or Normally Closed.

Wiring Door Strikes
The 2RP provides a door DO relay dedicated to each reader port.
To wire a door strike:
1.
Install the door strike (maximum 2 A @ 30 VDC or 0.50 A @ 120 VAC) as required.
