Start raking
Always switch off the tractor engine before you leave the tractor cab.
Make sure no persons are within a 100 meter radius of the Hibiscus
during operation.
Make sure no persons are near the Hibiscus when you engage the PTO.
Do not operate the Hibiscus without safety guards or swath curtain, or
if the safety guards or swath curtain are damaged.
Make sure no obstacles can be hit.
Preparations
Verify the setting of the adjustments before raking and after replacement or
maintenance to the Hibiscus:
1.
Adjust the working height (page 4
‑
1),
2.
Adjust the height of wheel assembly (page 4
‑
4),
3.
Adjust the Cam Track (page 4
‑
5),
4.
Change to independent or simultaneous rotor lifting (page 4
‑
7).
Procedure
1.
Operate the tractor single-acting valve(s) (system I or I and III) to
move the Hibiscus to the headland position.
2.
Carefully engage the PTO at the lowest possible engine speed.
3.
Slowly increase the speed of the PTO to 400-450 rpm (max. 540 rpm).
Do not drive the machine through the crop when the rotor is on the
ground and not rotating. This causes damage to the tines and tine
arms.
4.
Drive the tractor at a maximum speed of 12.5 km/h.
5.
Operate the tractor single acting valve (system I or I and III) to lower
the rotors independent or simultaneous to the correct height in the
crop.
6.
If you want to turn on headlands, move the rotors simultaneous or
independently to the headland position (page 3
‑
12).
7.
If smaller swaths are required during operation, operate the double-
acting hydraulic valve (system II) to adjust the swath width.
