Focusing based on metering in 23 areas

With this mode, focusing is based on the closest registered object in the 23 metered 

areas.

The focus setting is fixed to   (1-area-focusing) during motion picture recording.

Focusing on a small part of the frame

Focusing is based on the subject registered in the center of the picture. (Recommended 

when focusing is difficult, or when it is supposed to be based on a specific off-center 

detail)
