Managing the Road Job
8.1
Overview
Two parts
Each road job consists of two major parts:
•
Design data:
Contain all the information about the road design. For example, the
geometry of the centre line or the formation layer of the road. These data are either
typed in manually or converted from a road design package. Refer to "8.4 Creating a
New Road Job" for information on how to create road jobs.
•
Working tasks:
Define how the different elements of the road design are used within
the stake out or check situations. For example, the same edge of the road is staked out
once to define the shoulder and a second time with a certain offset as the gutter. Refer
to "4 Step 3 - Working in Advanced mode" for more information on tasks.
Tasks define how the design elements of the road are staked out or checked in the field.
