Understanding your Vehicle Infotainment System (VIS)
The VIS is designed to be installed in a double DIN mounting hole of the instrument panel (IP) of
International and Caterpillar Trucks. The VIS Base unit (T8510) offers a comprehensive
information processing and display navigation system for your International
and Caterpillar
Trucks. It features a 6.5” color display and resistive touch screen for easy operation. It has the
ability to connect to the vehicle’s J1939 bus which provides the driver with engine and truck data
as well as operating environment. The VIS Premium (T8520) system is similar to the base unit,
but adds Wi-Fi connectivity.
Options include camera support for one camera and SmartWave
Tire Pressure Sensing System
for tractor tires.
The VIS works in conjunction with the Delphi DEA350 & 355 Radio series to produce audio.
Reference the Audio section of this manual for details on selecting audio sources from the VIS.
