Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause
Action
No power or display
No power
Possible solutions:
Make sure an E-STOP is connected
Plug in power cord, if the
machine turns
on and charging LED lights up
let the
battery charge to full (12.8V rested)
before using the machine.
Disconnect
power cord before attempting other
solutions.
Ensure battery is connected properly
(see section 5.1.1)
Check the internal fuse (automotive
yellow fuse on red power PCB below the
motherboard). Replace if necessary
Once solved, follow the start-up sequence in
section 5.2.4. Give the machine a few additional
seconds to start up.
Faulty display
Contact Le Maitre.
Not arming
Incorrect DMX channel
Set to correct DMX channel. Refer to 5.3.5
COBRA
control
not
synced
Re-sync to controller. See 5.4.1
Attempting
to
fire
during safety delay
Wait till safety delay has elapsed before firing.
Firing solenoid not
activating
Safety Delay has not
elapsed
Wait until arm indicator stops flashing. The LED
will stop flashing when the Wireless SQP is ready
to fire.
Incorrect DMX channel
Set to correct DMX channel. Refer to 5.3.5.
Firing
solenoid
activating, but no gas
released
Empty canister
Replace canister.
Canister
nozzle
damaged
Replace canister.
Firing pin sticking
Remove firing pin and clean or replace O-ring.
Refer to Maintenance instructions in 7.1.
Firing pin too low.
Increase firing pin height. Refer to Maintenance
instructions in 7.1.
Gas
released,
but
failing to ignite
Insufficient air-flow.
Make sure there are no air flow restrictions
under or over the machine.
Firing
pins
need
lubricating.
Refer to Maintenance instructions in 7.2.2.
Insufficient or no spark
See “No spark detection” below.
