IPMI provides better server management, server monitoring, and remote access. IPMI is independent of the
system’s CPU operating system via hardware applied directly into the motherboard. Please follow the steps
for installation.
1. Power off the system and open the
chassis cover.
2. Locate the IPMI module slot on the
motherboard.
3. Align the notch of the module card
with the socket key in the pin slot.
4. Insert the module card pins at 30
degrees into the socket until it is fully
seated.
5. Push down on the module card until
the slot latches catches and clicks
into place. Then, secure into place
with one screw.
