The Lan
doll 2220 Se
ries Disc Chisel is de
-
signed to be pulled by trac tor equipped with a dou -
ble lip or cle
vis type hitch. If your trac
tor is not
equipped as such, you need to pur chase the hitch
from your lo cal trac tor dealer. If your Disc Chisel is
equipped with the cle vis op tion, this should be re -
moved. The cle vis op tion is only for trans port use.
Be fore at tach ing the Disc Chisel, pre pare the trac -
tor as fol lows:

Prior to op er at ing the 2220 Se ries Disc
Chisel, in spect it thor oughly for good op er at -
ing con di tion.

Re place worn or miss ing parts.
4-2.3
When the ma
chine is new, check the
bolt tight ness af ter a few hours of op era tion.
Tighten any loose nuts or bolts. Check the
gauge wheel lug bolts daily.

Check the gauge wheel tire in fla tion. In -
flate all tires equally to avoid side draft. Fol -
low the tire manu fac tur er’s rec om mended
pres sures listed on the side wall of the tires.

Check disc scrap
ers for proper clear
-
ance to the disc blade.
See Fig ure 4-1.

Loosen U- bolts. Slide scraper as sem bly to
ad just clear ance to 1/8" to 1/4".

tor draw
bar with the ma

chine. Raise or lower the Disc Chisel ring
hitch, as needed, us
ing the swivel jack. At
-
tach the unit with proper size hitch pin.

Clean all hy drau lic cou plings and at tach
to the trac
tor. When prop
erly at
tached, the
hy drau lic con trol lever should cause the Disc
Chisel to:
a.
Lower to the ground when the con trol arm is
moved for ward or down ward, and
b.
Raise when the con trol arm is moved back -
ward or up ward.
