Connect Driveline to Gearbox
Refer to Figure 1-1:
A slip clutch is attached to the implement end of the
driveline to protect the implement from shock loads. The
slip clutch yoke is coupled to the gearbox input shaft with
a conical dog pin (#3), washer (#2), and nut (#1).
1. Open driveline cover access door.
2. Remove nut (#1), washer (#2), and conical dog pin
(#3) from slip clutch yoke on driveline.
3. Slide slip clutch yoke onto gearbox input shaft until
conical dog pin hole on the yoke aligns with the slot in
the gearbox shaft.
4. Insert conical dog pin (#3) through hole in slip clutch
yoke and slot in gearbox shaft and secure with
washer (#2) and nut (#1).
5. Tighten nut (#1) to 25-30 ft-lb (34-41 Nm) torque.
6. Push/pull on driveline to ensure it is securely
fastened to the gearbox input shaft.
7. Close driveline cover access door.
IMPORTANT:
The driveline must be lubricated
before putting into service.
