Connect Powered Rake
Refer to Figure 1-2:

To avoid serious injury or death:
A crushing hazard exists while connecting and disconnecting
the implement. Keep people and animals away while backing-
up to the implement or pulling away from the implement. Do
not operate hydraulic controls while a person or animal is
directly behind the power machine or near the implement.

Lightweight tractors with rear attached implements may
need weights added to the front to maintain steering control.
Consult your tractor Operator’s Manual to determine
weight requirements and maximum limitations.

Always shut tractor down according to “Tractor Shutdown
Procedure” provided in this manual before allowing
anyone, including the operator, to connect or disconnect the

the tractor to provide quick and easy 3-point connect
and disconnect. See your nearest Land Pride dealer
to purchase a Quick-Hitch.
The PR10 Series Powered Rakes require a 3-point Cat. l
hitch. The lower 3-point arms must be stabilized to
prevent side-to-side movement. Most tractors have sway
blocks or adjustable chains for this purpose.
A top Quick Hitch bushing is mounted in the lower holes
on the center clevis as shown for connecting to a Quick
Hitch. The upper holes on the center clevis are for
standard 3-point connection using customer supplied
hitch pin and hitch pin keeper.
1. Remove linch pins (#1) from lower hitch pins (#2) and
set aside.
2. Slowly back tractor to the Powered Rake while using
tractor’s 3-point hydraulic control lever to align
3-point lift arms with lower hitch pins (#2) on Powered
Rake.

4. Attach 3-point lift arms to lower hitch pins (#2) and
secure with linchpins (#1).
5. Connect center 3-point link to upper clevis holes with
hitch pin and hitch pin keeper. Hitch pin and keeper
are supplied by customer.
6. Move stand (#5) to operating position. Refer to
on page 22 if needed.
NOTE:
Customer to supply center 3-point hitch pin
and hitch pin keeper.
