Skid Shoe Replacement

Chaincase Skid Shoe Replacement
Refer to Figure 4-5:
1. Replace chaincase skid shoe (#1) by removing bolts
(#2), lock washers (#3), and flat washers (#4).
2. Replace worn skid shoe with new skid shoe.
3. Secure skid shoe (#1) with flat washers (#4), lock
washers (#3), and bolts (#2). Torque bolts to correct
torque.

Long-Term Storage
Clean, inspect, service, and make necessary repairs to
the implement when storing it for long periods and at the
end of the season. This will help ensure the unit is ready
for field use the next time you connect to it.
1. Clean off any dirt and grease that may have
accumulated on the rake and moving parts. Scrape
off compacted dirt from the roller and then wash
surface thoroughly with a garden hose.
2. Check roller studs for wear and replace if necessary.
3. Inspect the Powered Rake for loose, damaged, or
worn parts, and for parts out of adjustment.

Tighten all loose hardware.
•
Replace damaged and worn parts as needed.
•
Make required adjustments.
4. Repaint parts where paint is worn or scratched to
prevent rust. Ask your dealer for Land Pride aerosol
touch-up paint. Paint is also available in touch-up
bottles with brush, quarts, and gallon sizes by adding
TU, QT, or GL to the end of the aerosol part number.
5. Replace all damaged or missing decals.
6. Lubricate as noted. See
“Lubrication Points” on
page 28.
7. Apply a coating of oil to the areas without paint due to
high wear to minimize oxidation.
8. Store Powered Rake on a level surface in a clean, dry
place. Inside storage will reduce maintenance and
make for a longer rake life.
9. Follow all
“Disconnect Powered Rake”
instructions
on page 17 when disconnecting Powered Rake from
tractor.
Ordering Replacement Parts
Land Pride offers equipment in factory standard Orange
with black highlights. When ordering an optional color,
the suffix number corresponding to the color must be
added at the end of the part number.
For example, if you are ordering a replacement part with
part number 555-555C and the existing part is orange,
then add the suffix 82 to the end of the number to make
the part number read 555-555C82.
