Using Your LaCie Drive - Stand-Alone Mode

User’s Manual

1) Turn on the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121.

2) After powering on, the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 will run through its initialisation and self-test processes, and then enter
Copy Mode.

3) Press the Mode button four times to move to Compare Mode.

4) Insert the Master disc in the top tray, and the recorded CD-R/CD-RW disc in the bottom tray.

5) Press the Start button to compare the media.

If the two CDs are the same, the OK LED will light, and if there is a difference between the media, the Error LED will light.

4.6. Erase Mode

Use this function to perform a short erase of CD-RW media.

1) Turn on the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121.

2) After powering on, the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 will run through its initialisation and self-test processes, and then enter
Copy Mode.

3) Press the Mode button five times to move to Erase Mode.

4) Insert a CD-RW disc in the bottom tray, and close the tray.

5) The LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 will automatically erase the CD-RW disc.

Important Note: 

The Erase Mode of the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 is a short erase, meaning that  it does not fully

erase the disc, only the Table of Contents (TOC) of the CD-RW is erased.

Important Note:

If a CD-R disc is inserted, the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 will eject the CD-R disc.

4.7. Firmware Mode

Use this function to update the firmware of your LaCie Dupli Disc CD121. For the latest firmware updates, please contact your
LaCie reseller or LaCie Customer Support.
