Lower the tailgate onto the safety prop using the Tailgate Down switch (see Tailgate Down
Switch on page 71).
Putting the Tailgate Safety Prop Back in Place
To put the tailgate safety prop back in its home position:
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Turn the pump ON (see Hydraulic Pump Switch on page 70).
3.
Raise the tailgate by about 3 feet (see Tailgate Up Switch on page 71).
4.
Raise the tailgate safety prop (see Figure 2-6).

5.
Release your grip on the safety prop to set it in its home position.
