Opening the CUP2
To access the printed circuit boards and other assemblies included in the CUP2, it is necessary
to open the back panel. When you remove the hardware, the top portion of the back panel tilts
outward approximately 45º. Two retaining straps secure the top edge of the back panel to the
cabinet. In addition to the retaining straps, two
at plates are secured to the back panel. When
the back panel is in the open position, these plates rest on the top edge of the bottom portion of
the cabinet.
In addition to its function as part of the outer cabinet, there are assemblies mounted on the
back panel; including the Audio Board, Engine Board, Interface Board, and Transformer. The
dotted lines in Figure 4-1 show the placement of the assemblies mounted on the inside of the
back panel.
