Troubleshooting
6.1
General errors
If the soldering station does not perform according to expectations, check the following
points:
• Is there power from the mains? Connect the power cable to the device
and to the power outlet correctly.
•
Is the fuse faulty? The fuse is at the back of the device, in the mains
connection socket.
• Note that a faulty fuse can also indicate a more serious error. There-
fore, simply replacing the fuse is generally not sufficient.
• Is the soldering tool correctly connected by the power supply unit?
6.1.1
Compression unit CU100
• Does the CU100 pump start up frequently? The vacuum system is not
tight. Check the seal of the hermetic cap, the connections and flexible
hoses.
• The CU100 pump does not start up? Check the electrical power supply.
Check the fuse in the mains connector at the back.

Error messages
i-CON 2 diagnoses errors automatically. The result of the
diagnosis is expressed with an error code: In this case a
triangular pictogram
①
appears on the display of the
soldering station. The error code
②
will be displayed as a
number between 2 and 99.
Also, a reference text appears on the bottom line
❸
. The error codes can be found in the
relative error codes table provided in the operating manual. Error messages must be ac

knowledged through the i-OP. The connected soldering station will only heat up again once
the problem is eliminated and recognised.
