Getting Started (Cont.)
Quick Start Guide
The table below lists briefly the main steps to get you started with the
Multi-Cooker. Much more information is provided on the following pages to
help you make best use of the appliance. Please take the time to read the
complete manual before using the Multi-Cooker.
1
Ensure the appliance is clean and dry, fully assembled, and the
stirring paddle is properly fitted on the spindle inside the inner pot, if
required (see page 11 for details).
2
Prepare your food to be cooked in the Multi-Cooker.
3
Place your ingredients in the inner pot, as per your recipe. Make
sure you do not overfill the pot. Close the lid, unless your recipe/
instructions specify to cook uncovered.
4
To connect the Multi-Cooker to the power supply, insert the
connector end of the cord into the appliance inlet, then insert the
electrical plug into the wall outlet and switch on power at the outlet.
5
Press the ON | MENU button to switch the appliance on. It will beep
and "- - - -" will appear on the LCD.
6
Press the ON | MENU button again, repeatedly, until your desired
cooking program indicator illuminates. The ON | MENU indicator will
remain flashing for 5 seconds until the program starts.
7
Refer to page 15 for how to adjust the time or temperature.
8
If you have selected the wrong program, press the OFF | KEEP
WARM button and restart programming.
9
Once a program has been selected, the LCD will show the time of the
program, and then the time remaining during the cooking process.
10
At the end of the program, the Multi-Cooker will beep and enter an
automatic warm-keeping cycle, if the program includes this (see page
13 for program details).
11
If no warm-keeping cycle is included in the program, the appliance
will stop operating. At that stage you may add a warm-keeping time
manually by pressing the
OFF | KEEP WARM button (see page 16 for
more information on manual warm-keeping).
NOTE:
Do not press this button during the program duration, as this
will stop the cooking process.
