Clearance between Differential Case and Differential Side Gear

1. Measure the differential case I.D. and ring gear I.D. with an inside

micrometer.

2. Measure the differential side gear boss O.D. with an outside

micrometer and calculate the clearance.

3. If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit, replace.
