Shift into neutral, and pull the lower chain section with the specified weight


Weight, chain wear measurement 15 kg (33 lb.)

Measure the distance

of 18 chain links in the lower chain section.
Info
Chain wear is not always even, so you should repeat this measurement at differ-
ent chain positions.
Maximum distance


is greater than the specified measurement:

Replace the chain. x
Info
When the chain is replaced, the rear sprocket and engine sprocket
should also be changed.
A new chain wears out faster on old, worn sprockets.
For safety reasons, the chain has no chain joint.
