8.2.2 Inspection work
DANGER
Excessive temperatures caused by friction, impact or frictional sparks
Fire hazard!
Damage to the pump set!

Regularly check the cover plates, plastic components and other guards of
rotating parts for deformation and sufficient distance from rotating parts.
8.2.2.1 Cleaning filters
CAUTION
Insufficient inlet pressure due to clogged filter in the suction line
Damage to the pump!
▷
Monitor contamination of filter with suitable means (e.g. differential pressure
gauge).
▷
Clean filter at appropriate intervals.
8.2.2.2 Checking the drive
Carry out the following measures:
▪
Check that the electrical connections are firmly seated.
▪
Verify that ventilation paths are unobstructed and clean.
▪
Check that the electronic system housing is securely closed.
8.2.2.3 Venting the mechanical seal

A suitable container for collecting the fluid handled is on hand.
1. Hold the container for collecting the fluid handled beneath vent valve 5B.
2. Open vent valve 5B.
3. Allow all of the air to discharge. As soon as fluid escapes, close vent valve 5B
immediately.
