Motor protection switch
A separate motor protection switch is not required because the electronics of the
pump set have their own safety devices (e.g. electronic overcurrent tripping). Set any
motor protection switches to a minimum of 1.4 times the nominal motor current.
Residual current device
If fixed connections and corresponding supplementary earthing are used (see DIN
VDE 0160), residual current devices are not mandatory for the pump set electronics.
When using residual current devices, in accordance with DIN VDE 0160 due to the
three-phase voltage connection of the electronics, the pump set may only be
connected by means of residual current devices that are sensitive to all types of
current, since conventional residual current devices either do not trip at all or trip
incorrectly as a result of possible DC components.
The residual current device should have a rated current of 150 mA.
If a long shielded cable is used for the mains connection, the residual current device
may be triggered by the discharge current that flows to earth (triggered by the
carrier frequency).
Measures: Replace the residual current device or increase the response limit.
Power cable
Unshielded cables may be used as power cables.
The power cable must meet the following requirements:

Clamping range for M25 cable gland: 8 to 17 mm
▪
Maximum core cross-section: 2.5 mm²
