2.12 Microfuse:
The microfuse for the unit’s coupler socket (C )
is located inside the fuse holder (D). The fuse
which is used there has the size T 6,3 A (5x20).
2.13 Hours counter:
With the hours counter (E), you can read the
operating hours of the unit and use them for your
records. This is also an advantage when you rent
the unit.

In order to ensure an optimal collection of
dust, the LR5300 must be placed with the filter
surface in the direction of the place where the
dust is created.
In order to aspirate the dust directly at the
place where it is created, the hose and intake
cone (see list of accessories on page 17) have
to be used.
Note
For an optimal ventilation of the room, place
the LR5300 on the opposite side of the room of
the supply air in case of supply air operation.
Note
substances in the air. According to this, air
change rates between the 3-fold and the 20-fold
of the room volume may be requested.
The Employer’s Liability Insurance Association
recommends a 15-fold air change. The limit
value for workplaces currently is 1,25 mg/m³ for
quartzous A-dusts and 10 mg/m³ for E-dusts
(TRGS 900).
Example:
Requested is a 15-fold air change at a room
volume of 100 m³.
The necessary air volume is 15 x 100 m³, thus
minimum 1500 m³/h. The Kroll LR5300 brings
about 1530 m³/h when the filter signal has
released.
So a sufficient air change is ensured.
2.8 Installation and commissioning
Only switch on the unit after the main filter has
been installed.
Attention
2.9 Switch on:
To switch the unit on, press the main button (A).
The switch will then glow green.
After switching on the unit, it will take about 10
seconds before the fan motor will start working.
This is not a failure!
Attention
2.10
Indication of filter change:
When the main filter is full, this is shown by the
signal lamp (B) and a signal sound. When this
signal is activated, both the main filter and the
pre-filter should be exchanged. Please ensure
that you have enough filter material ready.
The endurance of the filters depends on the
amount of dust which is sucked in. The unit
determines the air flow through the filter via an
integrated differential pressure switch.
Do not place the LR5300 with the filter surface
against a wall.
Attention
2.11 Unit’s coupler socket:
An additional electrical device can be connected
to the unit’s coupler socket (C ). Please observe
that max. 1000 W respectively up to 6,3 A can be
connected.
