Modulation
52
These stored values can themselves be modulated by the wheels, the vector joystick and envelope, and MIDI CCs;
additionally, Program Mod Knobs can be modulated by the Performance Mod Knobs.
Each Mod Knob can be either unipolar (+) or bipolar (+/-).
PERFORMANCE MOD KNOBS
[Off, On]
When this is on, the knobs control the Performance Mod Knobs, which can modify parameters in any or all Layers at
once. When off, the knobs control the values for the current Layer’s Program.
Modulation Sources
Controllers
Off
This means that no modulation source is selected.
Mod Wheel CC 1
This is the built-in Mod Wheel (unipolar MIDI CC#1).
VectrJSX CC 16 and VectrJSY CC 17
These are the X- and Y-axis, respectively, of the Vector Joystick (bipolar MIDI CCs #16 and 17).
Damper CC 64
This is the damper or sustain pedal (unipolar MIDI CC#64).
Pitch Bend
This is the Pitch Bend wheel (MIDI Pitch Bend).
Velocity
This is the note-on velocity, representing how hard the note is played on the keyboard.
Exponential Velocity
This is MIDI note-on velocity through an exponential curve. Low velocities won’t have very much effect, and the
differences between lower velocities won’t be very noticeable. On the other hand, high velocities produce increasingly
greater effects, and the differences between higher velocities will be more pronounced.
