After the installation is complete, remove the
Software Utilities
CD-ROM
from your CD-ROM drive and store it in a safe place.
Using the Status Monitor
When a monitored printer issues an alert status, several things may occur
within the application depending on how the application options are config-
ured. Use the following procedure to detect and recover the printer status
conditions.
Starting the Status Monitor
To begin monitoring printer status messages, start the Status Monitor pro-
gram by selecting Programs/Status Monitor/Status Monitor from the Start
menu.
The application icon
displays in the Windows task bar to indicate that
the Status Monitor is running.
Opening the Status Monitor
There are two methods of opening the Status Monitor program windows:
From the Windows task bar, double-click on the application’s icon.
From the Printer Queue window, click on the Status column button (shown
below).
