NetWare 5.x/6.x Setup
This chapter describes the steps necessary to configure NetWare 5.x/6.x and
your printer to print jobs routed through a print server.
Setup Overview
See the sections following this overview for detailed setup
instructions.
Using NWAdmin (NetWare 5.x/6.x)

Add a Print Server to the NDS tree.

Add a Print Queue to be serviced.

Add a Printer with the type as Remote/Other Unknown.

Associate the Print Queue with the Printer.

Associate the Printer with the Print Server.
NetWare NDS Setup Using NetWare Admin (Detailed
Setup)

Double-click the NWAdmin icon.

If the tree is not displayed, select Tools - NDS Browser to display the
directory tree.

Select the container that will hold the print queue, printer, and print server.
Although it’s not required that all three objects reside in the same
container, it is recommended by Novell.

Select Object - Create .
While the order of creation is not mandatory, we recommend that
the objects be created in this order.
On all creation opening screens, you have the opportunity to
change context if needed.
