Specifying Security Details Parameters

Detail
With all operations for copying, scanning, faxing and computer printing,
image data is temporarily written to the hard disk.
By setting the “Overwrite Temporary Data” parameter to “ON”, the area
of the hard disk where image data is saved can be overwritten after the
data is printed or sent, and the data can be erased. This process prevents
disclosure of image data on the hard disk.
To specify that data on the hard disk is overwritten
The setting for overwriting data on the hard disk can be specified. (The de-
fault setting is “OFF”.)

In the Administrator Setting screen, touch [0 Security Setting].

In the Security Setting screen, touch [4 Security Details].

In the Security Details screen, touch [Overwrite Temporary Data].
The settings for the “Overwrite Temporary Data” parameter appear.

Touch the button for the desired setting.

Touch [Close].
