CHECKING THE STEEL TRACK TENSION
CHECK

•
This operation must be carried out by two operators. One operator must be seated in the cab and oper-
ate the machine according to the instructions of the operator who carries out the check and the adjust-
ment.
•
The shoe tension must be checked with the frame lifted from the ground; be careful not to move any
control lever while the operator is carrying out the check.
Check conditions:
Firm and level ground.
Work equipment resting on the ground.
1 - Rotate the upper structure by 90° on the side of the track to be
checked.
2 - Fold the bucket, position the arm perpendicular to the ground
and rest the bucket on the ground.
3 - Force with the boom until raising the track to be checked com-
pletely.
4 - Measure the distance between the track rolling surface and
the lower central rollers.
Distance between roller and track: 20-25 mm.
If the track tension value is not included in the prescribed interval,
adjust the track by proceeding as follows.
