Battery charge level warning light

This warning light comes on, together with the acoustic alarm,
when the starting circuit is energized and goes out when the en-
gine exceeds the idling speed; if this warning light remains on
even when the engine is running at the normal operating speed,
this means that the alternator is not working and the battery is not
charged correctly.

IMPORTANT

If the warning light remains off when the ignition key is
turned to position ON, this means that the alternator is
faulty or broken.
