5. Prefit the Wall Surrounds
Place the back wall on the bath.
Temporarily install a roofing nail or equivalent over the top of the wall flange into the center of a
stud. Do not drive the nail in so far that it is difficult to remove.
Position both end walls, ensuring that the end wall pins are engaged in the back wall interlock slots.
IMPORTANT!
Do not secure the walls to the stud framing at this time.
Verify that the assembled wall surround is resting properly on the bath. If required, remove the
roofing nail at the back wall.
Verify that the end walls are flush with the edge of the bath. If required, push or pull the end walls
into position.
While assembled, check the fit and verify that the wall surrounds are properly aligned with the
studs at the upper and vertical wall flanges.
If required, add shims to bring the studs into contact with the wall surrounds.
