Storage conditions
In the event that the generating set is not to be used for a long period, respect the following procedure for storing the generating set
in order to prevent any damage. The generating set should be stored in its normal operating position; never lay it on its side.
Drain the fuel and change the engine oil :
1.
Start the generating set and leave it running until it runs out of fuel.
2.
With the generating set still warm, change the engine oil.
3.
Replace the fuel filter (C1), leaving the remaining fuel to drain out completely into a suitable recipient.
4.
Close the fuel taps (A6).
Lubricate the cylinders and the valves:
5.
Remove the cap from the spark plug (F1) and the spark plug (A16-F2
6.
Pour approximately one teaspoon of engine oil in through the spark plug opening before refitting the spark plug.
7.
Pull the starter-recoil reel handle (A10) several times to distribute the oil inside the cylinders.
Disconnect the battery:
8.
First disconnect the red cable (+) then the black cable (-) from the battery.
9.
Remove the mountings from the battery, then remove the battery (A2)
10. Store in a clean, dry location and check the charge regularly to maintain a constant voltage.
Store the generating set:
11. Clean the outside of the generating set with a cloth and apply an anti-rust product to the damaged areas.
12. Cover the generating set with a protective cover and store it in a clean, dry and well-ventilated place.
This procedure for storing the generating set or protecting it over the winter must be respected if the generating set is not used for a
period of up to 1 year. For longer periods of storage, it is recommended to contact your nearest agent or to start up the generating
set for a few hours every year, and respect the storage procedure after doing so.
