7 Maintenance
WARNING. Disconnect power to the unit
before servicing to avoid exposure to high
voltages and/or temperatures which may result in
personal injury or death. If you have any questions
about maintaining your equipment, then please do
not hesitate to contact the Koehler technical
service department.
7.1 Routine Maintenance
For maximum refrigeration efficiency,
periodically remove the front louvers and clean the
condenser with either compressed air or a
vacuum. When the air chamber is at room
temperature, wipe away any moisture that has
accumulated. This will minimize frosting of the
cooling coil. Change the oil in the speed reducers
once per year using the oil specified in the
manual. Wash the test rig components in a
suitable solvent and air dry. Do not permit wet rigs
to sit out as the components will corrode. Wipe
down the exterior of the cabinet using a soft cloth
sprayed with household cleaner. Over the course
of time, some instrument parts may need to be
replaced. When ordering replacement part(s),
please provide the model number, serial number,
and product shipment date of your equipment so
that we can ensure you will receive the proper
replacement part(s).
