Chapter 1 Basic Operation MDC-2000BB Series

Number Key name Explanation
(1) [ ] Push: Turns on the power.

pressing: Turns on or off the power.
(2) [STBY/TX] Starts or stops the transmission.
(3) [BRILL] Adjusts the brilliance and the brightness of the panel.
(4) [STC/FTC] Rotate: Changes the STC or FTC.
Push: STC and FTC change alternately.
(5) [GAIN/PPI] Rotate: Changes the gain.
Push: Changes the gain adjustment of sub-screen (right screen of
PPI/PPI).
(6) [EBL] The On/Off display of EBL is toggled by pressing the [EBL] key.
Operate the EBL during display with the [
] and [ ] keys.
(7) [ENH] Setup of ENHANCE changes.
(8) [HL OFF] Hide heading line while [HL OFF] key is pressed.
(9) [VRM] The On/Off display of VRM is toggled by pressing the [VRM] key.
Operate the VRM during display with the [
] and [ ] keys.
(10) [ENT] Press: measures bearing of distance between two points.
The value in the menu is set. (Some of functions)

pressing: The cursor moves to the own ship’s position.

Selects the menu item.
Changes the content of set value.
Moves the cursor.
(12) [MENU] Opens or closes the menu.
(13) [OFF CENT] After pressing the [OFF CENT] key, if [ ] or [ ] key is pressed, the ON/OFF
setup of the OFF CENTER changes. After pressing the [ ] key with ON
selected and moving the cursor, if the [ENT] key is pressed, the position of
cursor is set as a position of own ship.
(14) [F1] to [F6] Recall directly the preset menu item.
(15) [- SU] Changes the range setup of sub-screen (right screen of PPI/PPI).
(16) [- RANGE +] Changes the range setup.
When the alarm is functioning, the alarm stops by operating any key.
