Scanning documents
For best results follow the document preparation recommendations as
previously described.
1. Separate documents that have been stapled or clipped together.
Remove glued documents and documents that are curled; these
types of documents may cause a paper jam and damage the
scanner.
2. Prepare the document set as shown below:
3. Carefully align the documents.
4. Adjust the document guides on the feeder tray so that they are
slightly wider than the size of the documents you are scanning.
• Fan the stack of documents to
separate all the sheets. Be
sure the edges of the sheets
do not stick together.
• Hold both edges of the sheets
and bend the documents.
• To flatten the documents, hold
firmly then pull them apart.
