6.2 Operating displays L1 to L4

Meaning Description
L1 SafeMode
(LED lights up)
• Not ready for operation (switch-on
conditions were not fulfilled).
Error
(LED is flashing)
• 24 V supply outside the tolerance.
• Enable is missing.
• Additional errors.
L2 Device is master
(LED lights up)
• In a network, the master is responsible
for communication and coordinates
the devices assigned as slaves.
• There can only be one master in a
network.
• A single device is always the master.
Master determination
(LED is flashing)
• The device with the highest address is
determined as the master.
• The address is the serial number of the
device.
• After that, the status switches to
“Device is master“ or
"Device is slave."
Device is slave • Downstream device in a network con -
sisting of more than one device.
• Controlled by the master.
Master determination
failed
• An error was detected.
• The device enters error mode and
restarts.
• Lights up continuously if the error was
not eliminated by a restart.
L3 Activities • Only lights up when L4 is lit.
• Positive or negative current flow
direction (store or support).
L4 Ready for operation • Only lights up when L1 is lit.
