5.1 Earthing the PxtRX active energy management device

Earth the PxtRX energy management device on the earthing connection

(ring or
forked cable lug M5) (wire cross-section to your national standards).

Perform safety test according to DGUV V2 (German Statutory Accident Insurance).
5.2 Connecting the PxtRX active energy management device
The active PxtRX energy management device may only be operated on a
non -regenerative application.
In all other cases, Michael Koch GmbH must be consulted immediately - the device
must not be put into operation.
Basic information • The places of operation must be dry and dust-free.
• The air supplied must not contain any electrically-conductive dust, gas or vapour
which could impair functionality. Corresponding remedial measures must be taken
if necessary.
• The PxtRX active energy management device may only be operated in ambient
temperatures from 0…40° C. High air humidity and condensation must be
excluded.
• The PxtRX active energy management device can only be operated in conjunction
with an application with direct access to the DC circuit capacitance (DC link
capacitance) (low inductive connection).
• The DC link capacity of the application must be at least 5 times as large as the sum
of the RX capacities (= 80 µF per RX device).
• It is possible to supply the device via an external 24 V power supply unit.
Cable • The connecting cables (cross-section to comply with your national standards)
between the PxtRX active energy management device and the DC link of the
application must be shorter than 20 m, must be laid as a twisted pair and must be
secured against short circuits.

