Connecting the storage unit (X5)
Connectable
conductors
• Single wires must be twisted.
• Keep separate twisted leads for each PxtRX as short as possible (max. 20 m).
The parasitic inductance must not exceed a value of 12.5 μH.
• Single-wire conductor 0.75…16 mm² / 18…6 AWG
• Fine-stranded conductor 0.75…25 mm² / 18… 4 AWG
• Fine-stranded conductor, with wire end ferrule with plastic collar 0.75…16 mm²
• Fine-stranded conductor, with wire end ferrule without plastic collar 0.75…16 mm²
• Fine-stranded conductor, with twin wire end ferrule 0.75…6 mm²

PxtEX extension unit

Make sure that the PxtEX is compatible with the maximum storage voltage set in
the PxtRX.
Ensure that the PxtEX is discharged.
Connect the negative terminal on the PxtEX (X2, pin 3) to the negative terminal on
the active power management device (X5, pin 2).
Connect the positive terminal on the PxtEX (X2, pin 1) to the positive terminal on
the active power management device (X5, pin 1).
Twist single wires.
