Connecting the Cable to the Service Switch
1.
Open the service switch housing.
2.
Connect the conductors.
3. Close the service switch housing.

CAUTION
Mounting Distances
The cables are pre-assembled and cut to length. Be sure to observe
the appropriate mounting distances (see page 18, “Arrangement of
Components”).
Connecting the Cables to the Unical 9000(X)
1. Screw off the cover of the Unical 9000(X), pull off ground connection.
2.
Connect preassembled cables (see pages 46 and 47):
• Cable no. 1: Unical 9000(X) to media adapter (with plug)
Tighten the coupling nut to secure the electrical connection
at the bottom side of the media adapter.
• Cable no. 2 (check-back of probe position) from media connection
(corrugated hose) to Unical 9000(X).
• Cable no. 3: Unical 9000(X) to Protos module
• Cable no. 4: Unical 9000(X) to service switch

Assembly of Components
Preparing the Service Switch
The Unical 9000(X) comes with 2 identical cables.
These cables are ready for connection.
One of these cables is required for connecting the service switch.
Note
You do not have to cut the cable. It can be rolled up and secured using cable
ties.
