The manufacturers of the excavator control systems take the supply for the
devices directly from the battery. For this reason, pin 2 should not be connected
as this would result in unnecessary current draw when the ignition is switched
off.
In most cases Leica does not use the CAN Open assignment of the M12 plug, but
rather, as follows:
