Resuming Set Speed
If brakes have been applied while driving with cruise control set, the cruise control
will be disengaged but will not need to be reset. Pressing and releasing the
“Resume/Accel” switch, the vehicle will automatically accelerate to the pre-set
speed.
Increasing Speed with Cruise Control
There is two ways to increase vehicle speed:
• Using the accelerator pedal, depress until the vehicle reaches the desired speed.
Press and release the “Set/Coast” switch to set the higher speed. If the
accelerator pedal remains depressed for more than 60 seconds cruise control
will be disengaged.
• Press and hold the “Resume/Accel” switch until the vehicle reaches the desired
speed, then release switch. To increase the vehicle’s speed by very small
amounts, briefly hold the “Resume/Accel” switch.
Reducing Speed with Cruise Control
Press and hold the “Set/Coast” switch until the vehicle reaches the desired speed,
then release switch. To decrease the vehicle’s speed by very small amounts, briely
hold the “Set/Coast” switch.
Passing with Cruise Control
Depress the accelerator pedal to increase vehicle speed to overtake slower vehicle.
After accelerator pedal is released the vehicle will slow down to the cruise control
set speed.
Ending Cruise Control
There is three ways to end cruise control:
• Depress brake pedal lightly.
• Press cruise control switch to the “OFF” position.
• If the accelerator pedal remains depressed for more than 60 seconds.
Erasing Speed Memory
When the cruise control switch is turned “OFF” or the ignition is turned to the “OFF”
position the cruise control set speed memory will be erased.
CAUTION
Do NOT use resume when the previously set speed is too fast for existing
conditions. Failure to comply could result in loss of control, vehicle damage and
personal injury.
